As your state representative, I will not back down from taking on the issues that matter to the residents of HD19. Since 2017 I’ve been engaging in tough conversations surrounding the controversial topics facing our nation with community members who don't always see eye to eye. By leading out with civility and respect, I’ve opened pathways to communication that invite productive conversation and positive action. 

 

As a leader in a nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to ethical government, my main political experience has been working with people from all along the political spectrum. As your legislator, I will stand up for the important issues our community cares about while listening and communicating respectfully with anyone who engages in good faith. Most candidates say that they can work across the aisle, but I actually have experience doing it—while maintaining my commitment to progressive values. In a district like HD19, where more than 50% of voters are unaffiliated, I believe this is a skill that is really needed.​
