A lifetime of public service
I was raised in the western United States, and nine years ago my family moved to Weld County. Everywhere I’ve lived, I have served and cheered alongside my friends and community members on PTA boards, bond measure phone banks, soccer game sidelines, and church assignments — sometimes choosing my cohorts and sometimes being assigned to get along and get to work with people I didn’t know well.
I earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in American History from Boston College. My college education instilled in me a love for our country’s history and a commitment to make things even better.
I’ve spent most of the last 23 years as a stay-at-home mom. As my four children began entering school, I became an avid school volunteer, eventually becoming the president of the elementary school PTA, middle school PTO, and high school education foundation. My commitment to our neighborhood schools has been at the heart of my public service.

Seven years ago, my husband and I started a small business here in Weld County. I manage the human resources and financial side of the company, researching new software and systems and interfacing with state agencies.
Over the last nine years I’ve been actively engaged in a nonpartisan political organization advocating for the Child Tax Credit, humane immigration reform, environmental protections, and access to the ballot — even suing a Republican state legislature for gerrymandering and winning!
In 2024, when the incumbent Democratic Representative dropped out of the race, I stepped up in what was a true reflection of the engaged citizen and caring community member I've always been. I worked hard. I raised money, gained endorsements, marshaled volunteers to knock over 10,000 doors, and — most importantly — persuaded Democrat and swing voters alike. Despite only 89 days to campaign, I lost by just 110 votes.
Since 2024 I've continued to engage in our community. I know I can win in 2026 and represent our values at the State House.
