Attend Caucus and Assembly
What is Caucus and Assembly?
Caucus is an opportunity for Democrats to meet together, discuss candidates, and choose delegates to go to assembly. At assembly, delegates choose which candidates are on the ballot in June’s primary election.
When and where are Caucus and Assembly?
Caucus will be held March 7, and county assemblies will be held March 14.

Boulder County caucus and assembly meetings are in person. More info here.

Weld County caucus meetings are via Zoom. Weld County assembly will be in person at the DoubleTree Hotel in Greeley with a virtual option. Email info@weldcountydems.org and ask to be added to the mailing list so you receive updates.
Because House District 19 is in two counties, there is a separate assembly where delegates chosen at the Boulder and Weld County assemblies meet. The HD19 assembly will be held virtually on April 11.
Why does Caucus matter?
Caucus is when we organize locally as Democrats to select the neighborhood representatives who will attend assembly. There, these delegates vet candidates for office to ensure they share our values — and can win in November.
Who can caucus?
Residents of the local precinct for at least 22 days who have been registered Democrats for at least 22 days. The deadline to affiliate is February 9, 2026.

OPTION 2
Sign a Petition
Another path to the ballot is through signatures. Jillaire will need 1,000 signatures from registered Democrats who live in HD19 and have not signed another candidate’s petition. Petitions will be in circulation throughout January and February. The petition route will secure Jillaire’s spot on the Democrat Primary ballot in addition to Caucus and Assembly.
